Moorea and chef/designer Don Silvers co-wrote Kitchen Appliances 101: What Works, What Doesn't and Why.  They feel very strongly that the kitchen industry doesn't pay enough attention to the critical role that appliances play in cooking--and should therefore play in design.  This book was written to supplement every design book

that shows page after page of gorgeous photos and relegates appliances to second-class status.

Don and Moorea's books, Kitchen Design with Cooking in Mind and Kitchen Appliances 101: What Works, What Doesn't and Why are the basis for a kitchen design and appliance curriculum.  It will enable designers and architects to learn the fundamental principles they need to understand the cook's point of view and how it relates to kitchen design.  The course is being created and presented by the makers of Thermador Appliances.  This class will be accredited by the Interior Design Continuing Education Council so that professional members of the following organizations wil receive Continuing Education Credits for attending:
